CPNI’s Passport to Good Security provides template for effective risk management
Pool Re is pleased to announce that it has partnered with the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (“CPNI”) to raise awareness of the Government’s risk management advice for businesses.
The Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (“CPNI”), the UK Government authority for providing security advice to the UK national infrastructure, has published the Passport to Good Security, a best practice guide for senior executives to help create an effective risk management strategy. Pool Re believes the Passport to Good Security is a valuable tool for risk management and insurance professionals working to improve the resilience of businesses against domestic and international terror threats.
Pool Re will use its presence at BIBA 2017 and other industry events to highlight good risk management practice and the availability of advice on government websites to help businesses better protect themselves against the threat of terrorism.
The CPNI website (www.cpni.gov.uk) contains a comprehensive range of publications and expert advice that helps keep organisations secure. CPNI also works closely with the National Cyber Security Centre (www.ncsc.gov.uk) which provides cyber security advice.
Steve Coates, chief underwriting officer at Pool Re, said: “The terrorist threat is becoming ever more diffuse and complex. As a result, robust security and risk management practices have never been more important to business. A central part of Pool Re’s role is working with its Members, Government and the insurance market to promote good risk management practice and we are pleased we will have the opportunity at BIBA to draw attention to the valuable tools the Government has to offer.”
