Pioneer expands Engineering offering with appointment of Dan Watson
Pioneer Underwriters (‘Pioneer’) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dan Watson as an Underwriter in its Engineering division. Dan reports directly to Peter Rossell, Head of Engineering, and is based in London.
Dan brings over a decade of underwriting experience to Pioneer. Most recently, he was a Power and Erection ‘All Risks’ (EAR) Trading Underwriter at RSA where his responsibilities included the team’s recent international expansion and was responsible for around $15m of income. He was also a leading member of the Global Thermal Power Centre of Excellence within RSA.
This expansion to Pioneer’s Engineering division will see an additional focus on facultative engineering risks, specifically, Erection ‘All Risks’ and associated Delay in Start-Up insurance, Construction ‘All Risks’, associated Delay in Start-Up insurance and Operational power including Machinery Breakdown together with Business Interruption.
