Novae Group partners with Lloyds Illinois Inc to deliver vital cyber security education
Novae Group plc (Novae), the specialist listed Lloyd’s insurer, today announces that its Cyber team will deliver its ‘Understanding Cybersecurity and Insurance’ (UCS-I) course to brokers at Lloyd’s Illinois Inc on the 13th September 2017. The course will be presented by Sharif Gardner, Training Manager – Cyber, Novae. It has been approved for six hours of CE credits by the Illinois Department of Insurance.
Novae Group launched its ‘Understanding Cybersecurity and Insurance’ (UCS-I) course in 2017. Novae Group has hosted a number of sessions throughout the year in London, which provide attendees six accredited CPD (Continuing Professional Development) hours. The course is designed to provide retail and wholesale brokers with greater understanding of the cyber risks facing businesses today and teach brokers how to work effectively with existing and new clients to identify their individual perils and coverage needs. The course outlines the cyber coverages that are currently available through the Lloyd’s market.
Dan Trueman, Head of Cyber & Chief Innovation Officer at Novae, said: “Following high-profile cyber attacks such as WannaCry, NotPetya and now Equifax, the need for brokers to have access to cyber insurance training has never been greater. The ‘Understanding Cybersecurity and Insurance’ (UCS-I) course has provided wholesale and retail brokers with invaluable intelligence about a rapidly evolving threat. Thus far, the course has been extremely well received in London. We are very excited to present the course at Lloyd’s Illinois Inc and will be announcing dates for additional sessions in the US shortly.”
