Channel Syndicate 2015 at Lloyd’s (“Channel”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Forti as Active Underwriter, subject to regulatory approval. He will begin this role on 19th March and will report to Stuart McMurdo, CEO of Channel. Tom Corfield remains Chief Underwriting Officer of both Channel and SCOR’s Specialty Insurance London platform.
Nick was previously the Active Underwriter of Brit syndicate 2988. Prior to this role he was divisional underwriting director of the financial risks team. Before joining Brit, Nick was a reinsurance broker with both Willis Re and Aon Benfield. His underwriting experience includes a range of specialist lines products with both insurance and reinsurance portfolio management experience. Nick holds an MBA and MSC in Finance from the London School of Business.
Stuart McMurdo, CEO of Channel, commented: “We are entering the next chapter of Channel’s development and our key objective is to increase our London profile as a specialist insurer within the boundaries of profitable growth. Nick is a great hire for Channel and I am delighted to welcome someone of his calibre to the team. He brings significant expertise on the specialist product side and his appointment crucially enables Tom to focus on the execution of our recently announced London Specialty insurance platform initiative. It is an exciting time for Channel and SCOR’s Specialty insurance London platform and I look forward to working with the executive and board to deliver on our strategy.”
