Pool Re appoints Helen Moore as Head of Communications
Pool Re today announced the appointment of Helen Moore as Head of Communications. This is a new role which will see Moore managing all aspects of Pool Re’s public relations, public affairs and communications activities. She will also oversee Pool Re’s corporate social responsibility programme currently supporting Age UK. Moore takes up her new role with immediate effect, reporting to Julian Enoizi, Chief Executive.
Moore joined Pool Re in 2014 as Manager of the Chief Executive’s office. Prior to this she served at Serco, WorldPay and NatWest. In her new role, Moore will also be tasked with maintaining the development and growth of the International Forum of Terrorism Risk (Re)Insurance Pools (IFTRIP) and its initiatives on behalf of its UK secretariat.
Julian Enoizi said, “Ensuring that Pool Re’s members have access to our growing intelligence and threat analysis capabilities has become a key pillar of our proposition. The combined expertise of IFTRIP will also become an invaluable resource for our stakeholders. The recent attacks in Berlin and Istanbul are another tragic reminder of the international nature of the threat which terrorism now poses. The insurance industry can play a key part in the mitigation of this threat and, through its status as a public private partnership, Pool Re is able to act as a conduit to government to ensure that our industry’s capabilities are used to their fullest. Communications will play a key part in this regard. I am certain under Helen’s management our communications function will be increasingly viewed as a key platform for the dissemination of expert analysis and as a facilitator of the necessary evolution of our scheme.”
